House on the Headland

A palette knife oil painting depicting a view of a house situated on a headland overlooking the rough cornish sea at sunset.

The unpredictable nature of working with thick paint and a palette knife was the perfect way to convey the life and momentum of the sea crashing againts the textures of the headland.

The piece was inspired by a favourite view of the artists', spotted along the North Cornwall coast in Zennor, St Ives.
