Eventide
'Eventide' portrays a rocky beach in the evening light. The sea on the horizon glows under the warm sky with reflections of the sky's colour appearing in the waves. The pebbles and sand are created using thick paint applied spontaneously with a palette knife, keeping the marks and mix of colours unpredictable as they appear on the shore. Flashes of blue can be seen in the sand suggesting where the outgoing tide has left traces of water behind. This piece is full of textures and displayed in a grey frame.
